Sonny scores 21 in loss to Denver

Sonny’s 21 point effort against the Nugget’s wasn’t enough for the Raptors to snap their two game losing streak.
Unable to match a somewhat unconventional Denver lineup, Toronto dropped its third straight game, losing 123-116 to the Nuggets.
“We were unable to keep guys in front of us . . . they’re a very athletic team, they have mismatches at every position,” said Toronto’s Sonny Weems, who had 21 points. “They did a great job of executing it.”

Sonny adds 18 points in win over Wizards

The Raptors wanted to stress pushing the ball against the Wizards. They did just that when they ran away with the 127-108 victory. Sonny added 18 points in this uptempo win.
Weems’ teammate, Jerryd Bayless, talks about how easy it is to push the ball with Sonny on the court: “And with Sonny, all you have to do is get it near the rim and he’s going to be able to take care of the play.”
